Greetings from beyond

Having finally succumbed to the inevitable and the sheer weight of peer pressure, I reluctantly begin this blog, destined perhaps to be a pseudo-diary of my life, perhaps not. More likely this blog will be banished to the back of my mind, to be revived and added to as and if I remember to or bother to. It promises to be interesting in any case.
